It was one of those nights when the stars seemed too perfect to be real, like they were handpicked and placed just so. Beneath them, two figures sat at the edge of the universe.

Coincidence arrived first; her smile as mischievous as a stolen kiss. She leaned back against the fabric of time, with his cloak, a swirl of shifting colors. “Well, look who I ran into,” she teased.

Fate stepped forward, draped in a robe of silver and gold that shimmered. He tilted his head, and a playful smile formed on his lips.”Please,” he replied, “this was meant to be.”

“Meant to be? You always say that. But admit it, Fate, I bring the magic. A missed bus, a spilled drink, a glance across a crowded room—that’s my doing. I’m the one who turns the most ordinary days into unforgettable stories.”

Fate sat beside Coincidence.

“Magic, yes,” he agreed, his voice carrying the warmth of a secret meant just for the two.

“But magic needs meaning. Your missed bus leads to a stranger’s smile, yes. But who ensures that smile turns into a beautiful story, a forever? That’s where I come in.”

Coincidence tilted her head, her expression softening.”And without me, wouldn’t your stories be… predictable? I bring the surprises, the twists, the moments that make ones hearts skip. You need me, just as much as I need you.”

Fate couldn’t help but laugh. “Perhaps you’re right. Together, we create something neither of us could alone. You bring the spark, and I keep it burning. You make life unexpected, and I make it unforgettable.”

The stars seemed to come closer, their light wrapped around the pair like a blessing.

Below them, there was the world unfolding every moment.. A woman bumped into a stranger at a bookstore, and their shared a laughter.

A man opened a letter he nearly threw away, and it led him to something he didn’t even know he wnated.

Coincidence reached out their hand brushing against Fate’s. “Maybe that’s the truth of it,” she murmured. “It’s not about who does what. It’s about how we do it—together.”

Fate’s smile was tender, his hand wrapping gently around Coincidence’s. “Exactly. You and I—we’re not just partners. We’re a story, one that’s written in every heartbeat, every ‘what if’ that turns into forever.”

For a while, neither spoke. They simply sat there, hand in hand, watching the world they shaped together—a world of quiet miracles, unexpected joys, and love found in the most surprising places.

Coincidence finally broke the silence, her voice barely more than a whisper. “Who knew that chaos could feel so… safe?”

Fate’s thumb traced gentle circles over Coincidence’s hand, his eyes glowing with the kind of love that could make the stars jealous.”And who knew that certainty could feel so full of surprises?”
